Saving on energy costs
Arte initially came into contact with Scholt Energy via Scholt's local Account Manager who was keen to present our unique working method. This personal contact and the Scholt purchasing method immediately struck a chord. The first contracts between Arte and Scholt Energy were signed as early as 2014, with delivery starting in 2015. We started out with the gas project because the LEBA day-ahead market was seen as a great advantage. A year later, the supply of electricity began and since then, together with Scholt Energy's regular Account Manager, assessments were made on a regular basis and adjustments were made where necessary.
For Arte, quality and sustainability are high on the agenda. Arte is always looking for ways to save on energy bills. During the regular meetings with Scholt Energy, a solar panel installation was discussed and Arte quickly realised that it would be possible to make good long-term savings here.
Sustainable DNA
At the end of October 2020, cooperation on the solar project began, with the aim of delivering the installation before the deadline for green power certificates to be issued under amended regulations. The solar installation consists of 2,038 panels with an expected production of 600 MWh per year, comparable to the consumption of 200 households. The plant was successfully completed by the end of June 2021, thus meeting the deadline. Arte will thus benefit from green power certificates for another 10 years. Working with 7C Solarparken Scholt Energy supervised the project from A to Z, so that Lieven Laitem (General Manager at Arte) could focus fully on the core business. Among other things, the installation file was prepared, various business cases were drawn up based on the size of the installation, a tender was launched and the installer MR Solar was supervised during implementation.
"Scholt is a professional and reliable partner for us, both as a provider of (green) electricity and gas, but certainly also as a partner in our solar project, through which we have given a concrete demonstration of our green policy by installing 2,038 solar panels".
