What is a Guarantee of Origin (GOO)?

GOOs are created when renewable energy is generated. A GOO is documentary evidence or a certificate that proves where sustainably generated energy originated. The certificates are part of a European certification system. A GOO represents 1 MWh (1,000 kWh) of green electricity and provides detailed information about the location, time and source of the energy generation. A GOO retains its validity for one year after the month in which the energy was generated.

Different green certificates

Scholt Energy offers a range of different green certificates so that you can choose the one that best matches your business and needs. You will receive a personalised certificate which will show your business logo, the duration and green electricity.
